
Meet Cedric Collins
Thank you for electing me to the KSD school board! I am honored, and I take this responsibility seriously. I will be an advocate for the students and parents, teachers and staff.
My name is Cedric Collins, and I am an educator with a diverse teaching background that includes many levels of academia.
With the experience of teaching at elementary schools, high schools and universities, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my students. I have been recognized for my dedication to education and veterans as a two-time veteran of foreign wars District 10 Teacher of the Year.
In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I am a member of the Arizona Education Association and serve as a National Education Association Delegate, committed to advocating for the needs of educators and students.
Outside the classroom, I am involved in the community, volunteering my time and expertise to various causes.

CONNECTION
I pride myself on building trusting relationships to create a supportive and inclusive environment.

COMPASSION
I believe in showing compassion to all. We all come from various backgrounds and deal with different struggles, which is why mental health and social and emotional awareness for students, educators, support staff is important to me.

COURAGE
I live my life by these quotes from Martin Luther King. “Courage is an inner resolution to go forward despite obstacles. Courage breeds creativity.” I am not afraid to do what is right, “The time is always right to do right.”

COLLABORATION
I value working with others. Succeeding in all aspects of life requires a team effort.

CURIOSITY
I am constantly seeking knowledge. I enjoy being outside my comfort zone to explore innovative and unconventional ideas.
